Agricultural and construction equipment is often specialised, heavy, and valuable. Buyers need enough information to judge whether a machine suits the intended work before travelling to inspect it. Sellers who provide specifications, operating condition, maintenance history, location, and transport requirements are more likely to receive relevant enquiries.
Identify the equipment precisely
Include the manufacturer, model, year, operating hours or mileage, fuel type, engine output, capacity, and included attachments. State whether you are selling, renting, or offering the equipment with an operator. Explain the work it has performed and why it is available.
For pumps, generators, compactors, saws, mixers, tractors, excavators, loaders, or implements, list the technical details a working buyer needs. Measurements, lift capacity, power output, connection type, tyre or track condition, and compatible attachments are more useful than promotional language.
Show the real condition
Use recent photos of all sides, controls, engine area, tyres or tracks, attachments, hour meter, plates, and visible wear. A listing photo should show the actual machine, not a catalogue picture. Offer serious buyers a current demonstration during an arranged inspection only when it can be done safely.
Describe maintenance and faults honestly
State whether the equipment currently starts, runs, drives, lifts, pumps, or performs its intended function. Mention recent servicing, replacement parts, leaks, electrical problems, hydraulic issues, welding, rust, or components that require attention. If it is sold for parts or repair, make that clear.
Information buyers should verify
- Ownership and the seller’s authority to complete the transaction.
- Identification details and relevant import or registration records.
- Engine, controls, hydraulics, transmission, and safety systems.
- Availability and cost of parts, service, and attachments.
- Loading, route, transport cost, and site access.
- Total cost after immediate repairs or overdue maintenance.
Make selling or rental terms clear
State the price and currency, whether delivery is included, and whether offers are considered. For rentals, explain minimum usage, mobilisation charges, operator availability, downtime, and responsibility for fuel or damage.
